What relevant skills and experience/qualifications do you have in addition to Sexological Bodywork?

I worked as emotional support for curious creatures' 'curiosity play party' event and workshop for 4 years. I also studied EFT tapping, embodied counselling, EMDR trauma therapy, craniosacral therapy and have been a sex worker for 27 years.

Facilitator Bio

Lorraine (he/they/she) is a Somatic Therapist and bodyworker specialising in sexuality and trauma. They have worked in the field of sexuality for the past 27 years; starting in entertainment then shifting to somatic sexuality and healing in 2014.

Lorraine is passionate about creating trauma informed learning spaces where people of all genders can feel supported and connected to each other and to themselves.

Erotic Grief

Workshop 1's Intention:

Participants will learn to move the feeling of grief through their bodies with the support of erotic practice and embodiment.

Workshop 1 rough format:

Engaging with self and building up erotic energy then welcoming in the feeling of grief to be supported with movement, touch, sound, breath and placement of awareness in community.

Workshop 1 program description:

Grief can often be blended with the erotic. We don’t often have places where this can be explored as it can seem quite taboo.
Lorraine will guide us through erotic grief to find our orgasmic energy and find the joy and support that can be co-created in community. There will be time at the end for solo reflective self practice.

2 Hour Workshop

Equipment needed:

chairs (for 50% of the participants), speakers, cushions

Workshop 2's Intention:

Participants will learn how to use flowing touch and movement to create blissful trance-like states with a partner.

Workshop 2 rough format:

Teaching touch based exercises in pairs and consent communication, Then activate by guiding them to take turns moving in front of a sitting partner who is touching their body.

Workshop 2 program description:

Taking the performance aspect out of lap-dancing and replacing it with somatic practice, Lorraine will guide us in a touch based blissful experience of moving into erotic trance.

This is a dance that we do often with our eyes closed. Moving together, creating harmony and getting out of the performance. In this class you will learn new ways to direct the touch that you want and move away from touch that you don't want.

I'm keen to be involved in other areas. Not sure quite what that would involve. Happy to brainstorm it with facilitators in a zoom call.
