Facilitator Bio

Vanessa K Vance is a creative arts psychotherapist and somatic sex educator in Perth, WA. She holds a Master of Creative Arts Therapies, a Bachelor of Counselling, a certificate in sexological bodywork, and is a certified Wheel of Consent® facilitator. Formerly in private practice, she works with individuals and couples on intimacy, sexuality, and trauma. She founded Consent Craft and now offers education and experiential groups on touch, consent, and communication through embodied and expressive arts therapies practices.

Creative Pathways to Pleasure: An Art Therapy Experience

Workshop 1's Intention:

• Aimed at folks who are interested in art therapy and exploring their relationship to pleasure in a way that is gentle, safe, and contained.
• Art making processes allow participants to express and explore the mindful sensory realm waking up to the foundations of embodied pleasure.
• It also allows participants to reveal and engage with inner material in a safe and distanced way through metaphor in the imagery.
• You do not have to be an artist to do art therapy. Workshop gives folks an opportunity to find a new way to express and be seen and change limiting beliefs about self and art and pleasure.

Workshop 1 rough format:

• Seated at table with art materials.
• Select art materials
• Guided sensory and pleasure meditation with art materials
• Solo art making
• Aesthetic Analysis process to engage with the image and harvest meaning.
o Option to be partnered or solo
o Journal writing option.
o Option to share with me at a later time one on one.
• Group reflection, share, and close.

Workshop 1 program description:

"Creative Pathways to Pleasure: An Art Therapy Experience" invites you to explore your relationship to pleasure through creative art-making and art therapy processes. Designed for those interested in a mindful, sensory, and self-reflective journey, this hands-on workshop provides art materials to create solo artworks that reveal insights and foster embodied pleasure. Engage with your art, with options for sharing or journaling, to connect, express, and feel seen in a way that feels right for you. No prior art experience needed—art therapy is for everybody and EVERY body.

Workshop 2's Intention:

• For folks eager to explore sexy, imaginative character role play and interaction through structured games that include the option for consensual wanted touch.
• Benefits include increased confidence in expressing desires and improved skills in communicating wants and limits.
• Builds connection through curiosity, play, and imagination.
• Suitable for individuals new to role play or sexy group experiences.

Workshop 2 rough format:

• Participants are invited to attend dressed up or wearing an accessory to create a sexy, imaginative persona.
• Choose a role from a selection or invent your own and make a name tag with either your real name or a pseudonym (e.g., “Mike the Magician” or “Emily the Enchantress”).
• Through structured, guided group games, interact as your character, making requests and receiving consensual touch or non-touch experiences.
• In groups develop your character’s story in a playful theatre tableau.
• Reflections and close.

Workshop 2 program description:

"Role-Play Rendezvous" is an engaging evening playshop where you’ll explore imaginative, sexy character role play through structured consent games and drama activities. Arrive dressed up or accessorise with provided materials to bring your playful persona to life. Through guided group activities, you’ll make requests, experience consensual touch or non-touch interactions, and build confidence in expressing your desires and boundaries. Together in groups, you’ll create theatrical tableaus and sexy storytelling scenes to explore and express your character’s unique desires and expressions. This experience lets you safely explore creativity, consent, and connection in a playful, welcoming space.
